Synology HDD Db

Features

  • Hardware Compatibility Database Tools - Provides a script to add unsupported HDDs, SSDs and NVMe drives to the internal Synology compatibility database.
  • Hardware Compatibility Lists - Adds unsupported SATA, SAS, and NVMe drives to compatibility lists to remove hardware warnings.
  • Unsupported Storage Pool Activation - Enables M.2 PCIe storage pools and volumes on unsupported hardware cards.
  • Storage Configuration - Adds unsupported HDDs, SSDs, and NVMe drives to the internal compatibility database to remove hardware warning alerts.
  • Driver Binary Patching - Modifies system binaries and driver configurations to enable support for unofficial M.2 PCIe storage cards.
  • Hardware Compatibility Database Injection - Injects third-party hardware identifiers into internal system databases to bypass compatibility checks and hardware warnings.
  • Non-Native Hardware Compatibility - Hides notifications for unsupported memory and disks to stop system warnings about third-party hardware.
  • Storage Pool Activations - Enables unofficial M.2 PCIe cards to be used for creating storage pools and volumes on unsupported hardware.
  • Hardware Warning Suppressions - Removes alerts and restrictions when using third-party HDDs, SSDs, or NVMe drives.
  • Hardware Notification Suppressions - Intercepts and hides hardware notifications to prevent the operating system from triggering unsupported device warnings.
  • Hardware Alert Suppressors - Hides system warnings and notifications for non-certified memory and third-party disks.
  • Hardware Incompatibility Alert Management - Suppresses system notifications for third-party memory and disks to stop persistent hardware incompatibility warnings.
  • Storage Throughput Optimizers - Modifies disk read priorities and TRIM settings through system configuration files to increase data throughput.
  • SMART Health Monitoring - Installs specific hardware monitoring tools to enable SMART reporting for newer third-party drive models.
  • System Performance Tuning - Optimizes disk read priorities, enables TRIM support, and adjusts memory limits to improve NAS data throughput.
  • NAS Memory Optimizations - Provides utilities to adjust maximum memory limits and optimize reserved RAM for disk caches based on installed hardware.
  • Kernel Parameter Tuning - Adjusts system parameters and reserved RAM allocations to optimize disk cache and memory limits.
  • Disk and Memory Optimizers - Adjusts maximum memory limits and optimizes reserved RAM for disk caches.
  • Hardware Health Monitoring - Installs health monitoring tools to support newer models of specific hardware brands.
