Magspoof

Magspoof is a hardware card emulator and payment terminal spoofing tool designed to wirelessly transmit emulated magnetic stripe data. It functions as a magnetic stripe emulator that generates electromagnetic fields to mimic the data patterns of physical cards to trigger standard card readers without a physical card.

The project includes a service code modifier capable of altering specific bits within magnetic signals. This allows the system to disable chip-and-pin requirements on payment terminals, forcing a fallback from chip to swipe.

The system supports multi-track data transmission across tracks 1, 2, and 3 and utilizes waveform synthesis to translate digital data into electromagnetic pulses. These capabilities are used for payment terminal testing and access control research regarding hotel key cards and entry systems.

Features

  • Magnetic Stripe Emulation - Mimics physical magnetic stripe cards wirelessly to trigger data read events on standard magstripe readers.
  • Magnetic Waveform Synthesis - Translates digital card data into specific electromagnetic pulses that mimic the physical encoding of magnetic stripes.
  • Card Emulation - Provides a portable electronic device that wirelessly transmits magnetic stripe track data to trigger card readers.
  • Magnetic Stripe Emulation - Generates electromagnetic fields that mimic the data patterns of physical magnetic stripe cards to trigger readers.
  • Electromagnetic Field Induction - Generates time-varying magnetic fields to induce currents in the read-head of magnetic stripe readers.
  • Magnetic Stripe Emulators - Generates electromagnetic fields to mimic magnetic stripe card data for use on standard magstripe readers.
  • Chip-and-PIN Fallback Bypasses - Modifies service codes in emulated magnetic signals to force payment systems to fallback from chip to swipe.
  • Magnetic Service Code Modifiers - Alters service code bits within magnetic signals to disable Chip and PIN requirements on payment terminals.
  • Chip-and-PIN Fallback Bypasses - Modifies service code bits within an emulated signal to prevent payment systems from requesting a chip-based transaction.
  • Payment Terminal Spoofing Tools - Tests and bypasses payment terminal restrictions by emulating credit and hotel card magnetic stripes.
  • Service Code Manipulation - Modifies specific data bits in the emulated signal to trick payment terminals into ignoring chip requirements.
  • Magnetic Track Multiplexing - Combines data from multiple magnetic tracks into a single coordinated signal stream for simultaneous transmission.
  • Multi-Track Signal Transmission - Transmits data across magnetic stripe tracks 1, 2, and 3 for systems requiring multiple data tracks.
  • Electromagnetic Pulse Timing - Implements dynamic timing and intensity adjustments of electromagnetic pulses to mimic the speed of a physical card swipe.
  • Access Control Testing - Evaluates the security of hotel key cards and magnetic stripe entry systems to identify authentication bypasses.
  • Payment Terminal Testing - Evaluates how card readers handle different magnetic stripe data tracks and service codes without using physical cards.
  • Hardware Implants - Device for emulating magnetic stripe cards and bypassing security.
