L Ink Card

L-ink Card is a hardware implementation that combines an electronic ink display controller with an IC card emulator. The system utilizes the ISO 15693 protocol to enable wireless data exchange and energy harvesting from mobile devices, allowing the device to operate without a battery.

The project features a multi-identifier storage system and a physical selector switch to simulate various access cards and security tokens. It also supports the transfer of bitmap data from a companion mobile application to update the bistable e-ink screen with custom images, text, or digital business card profiles.

The hardware covers capabilities for non-volatile identity storage, passive power harvesting, and the rendering of graphics on electronic ink displays.

Features

  • E-Ink Display Controllers - Provides a controller for rendering graphics on a bistable electronic ink display using specific voltage pulses.
  • E-ink Performance Settings - Provides a system to drive and update an electronic ink screen with custom graphics.
  • Card Emulation - Simulates multiple physical access cards or security tokens using a single hardware device.
  • Non-Volatile Identity Storage - Maintains multiple distinct card identifiers in non-volatile memory for sequential access and emulation.
  • ISO 15693 Implementation Devices - Provides a wireless hardware implementation using the ISO 15693 protocol for energy harvesting and data exchange.
  • NFC Communication Protocols - Implements the ISO 15693 protocol for wireless communication and passive energy harvesting from mobile devices.
  • NFC Provisioning - Uses NFC to transfer configuration and image data to the device for display updates.
  • Passive Energy Harvesting - Powers internal circuitry by capturing electromagnetic energy from an external NFC reader.
  • NFC Digital Business Cards - Shares contact information and custom digital profiles with mobile devices using NFC wireless communication.
  • Content Customization - Allows updating electronic ink screen content with custom images or text via a companion mobile application.
  • Digital Contact Cards - Combines NFC and E-Ink to exchange contact data and display custom profiles on mobile devices.
  • Hardware Identity Selectors - Uses a physical hardware switch to select which stored chip identifier is presented to the reader.
  • Companion App Integrations - Provides a mechanism to transfer bitmap data from a mobile companion application to the hardware controller.

Magspoof is a hardware card emulator and payment terminal spoofing tool designed to wirelessly transmit emulated magnetic stripe data. It functions as a magnetic stripe emulator that generates electromagnetic fields to mimic the data patterns of physical cards to trigger standard card readers without a physical card. The project includes a service code modifier capable of altering specific bits within magnetic signals. This allows the system to disable chip-and-pin requirements on payment terminals, forcing a fallback from chip to swipe. The system supports multi-track data transmission acro
