Libreddit

Libreddit este un client Reddit axat pe confidențialitate și un front-end care acționează ca un proxy web care protejează confidențialitatea. Oferă o interfață web ușoară pentru vizualizarea thread-urilor și media de pe Reddit printr-un server intermediar pentru a împiedica platforma originală să urmărească activitatea și identitatea utilizatorului.

Proiectul elimină reclamele, scripturile de urmărire și execuția JavaScript pentru a permite consumul de conținut fără reclame și navigarea web fără JavaScript. Utilizează proxy-ul la nivel de server și proxy-ul media pentru a prelua conținutul și a re-servi imaginile și videoclipurile, mascând adresa IP a utilizatorului față de platforma externă.

Sistemul securizează și mai mult experiența de navigare prin livrarea de HTML static și impunerea unei politici stricte de securitate a conținutului (Content Security Policy) pentru a restricționa browserul de la efectuarea unor cereri de rețea externe neautorizate.
