WebDriverAgent este un agent de control pe dispozitiv și un server de automatizare care implementează protocolul WebDriver pentru dispozitivele iOS. Acesta servește drept punte care permite controlul de la distanță al aplicațiilor și al sistemului de operare pe dispozitive iOS fizice și simulatoare pentru testare automatizată.
Proiectul oferă un framework de testare UI capabil să interacționeze cu elementele de pe ecran, să captureze capturi de ecran și să simuleze gesturile utilizatorului. Acesta traduce comenzile de la distanță în apeluri de sistem native pentru a interacționa cu ierarhia de accesibilitate iOS.
