Butter Desktop

Butter Desktop este un streamer video BitTorrent și un player media cross-platform. Acesta servește drept client de filme bazat pe torrent care permite utilizatorilor să vizioneze conținut video provenit din protocolul BitTorrent în timp real.

Aplicația permite consumul descentralizat de video prin streaming-ul conținutului fără a necesita descărcarea completă a fișierului. Acest lucru este realizat prin streaming secvențial de torrent și preluarea datelor peer-to-peer pentru a maximiza lățimea de bandă.
