Este proyecto proporciona una plataforma DevOps contenedorizada al empaquetar una instalación completa de GitLab en imágenes de Docker. Permite el despliegue de un entorno autohospedado que integra control de versiones Git, gestión de proyectos y tuberías de integración y entrega continuas en infraestructura privada.
La implementación admite el despliegue a través de Docker Compose u orquestación a través de Docker Swarm, lo que permite stacks escalables con registros de contenedores integrados. Utiliza variables de entorno para la configuración y admite la descarga de artefactos y copias de seguridad a almacenamiento de objetos remoto y contenedores de bases de datos externos.
La plataforma cubre una amplia gama de capacidades operativas, incluyendo integración de identidad con LDAP, SAML y OAuth, así como rutinas automatizadas de copia de seguridad y recuperación del sistema. Además, incluye herramientas para redes seguras a través de la configuración SSL/TLS, enrutamiento de tráfico proxy y el alojamiento de páginas de proyectos estáticas.
Las tareas administrativas se gestionan a través de utilidades de línea de comandos para el mantenimiento y la monitorización de la salud, mientras que la comunicación del sistema se maneja a través de configuraciones SMTP e IMAP.
