Este proyecto es una colección de interfaces de gestión y plataformas para hardware conectado a la red. Funciona como una plataforma de extensión de firmware, un gestor de sistema operativo de almacenamiento en red y un administrador de enrutamiento de red.
El sistema permite la instalación de plugins de código abierto y complementos de terceros para ampliar las capacidades del dispositivo. Proporciona una interfaz de gestión para almacenamiento conectado a red (NAS), permitiendo la gestión remota de archivos y el streaming de medios punto a punto.
Las capacidades amplias cubren la configuración de enrutamiento de red mediante enrutamiento basado en políticas y DNS dinámico, así como el mantenimiento de firmware, incluyendo verificación de integridad de imagen, recuperación en modo de rescate y la capacidad de anular las restricciones de degradación de firmware. La plataforma también incluye utilidades para gestionar el almacenamiento flash persistente y monitorear el estado del sistema a través de una shell basada en web.
