Scdl

scdl ist ein Command-Line-Utility zum Herunterladen von Audiotracks und Playlists von SoundCloud. Es fungiert als terminalbasierte Anwendung, die Audiostreams von webbasierten Musikprofilen und Listen für die Offline-Archivierung abruft.

Das Tool enthält ein Synchronisationssystem, das Änderungen an Remote-Playlists verfolgt, um nur neue Songs herunterzuladen und so lokale Musikbibliotheken aktuell zu halten. Zudem dient es als Metadaten-Tagger, der automatisch Künstlernamen, Songtitel und Albumdetails mittels ID3-Tags in Audiodateien einbettet.
