Pushdeer

Features

  • Cloud Push Notification Deliveries - Functions as a centralized server for delivering instant push notifications to both mobile devices and IoT hardware.
  • Appless Deliveries - Delivers push notifications to mobile devices without requiring a dedicated client application installed on the handset.
  • Appless Notifications - Sends instant alerts to mobile devices without requiring a dedicated application installed on the handset.
  • IoT Notification Messaging - Sends real-time text and image notifications to smart hardware via the MQTT protocol for physical alerts.
  • IoT Notification Delivery - Sends real-time text and image notifications to smart hardware using the MQTT protocol for physical alerts.
  • MQTT Traffic Routing - Uses an MQTT publish-subscribe model to route real-time text and image notifications to IoT hardware.
  • Appless Notification Systems - Utilizes native OS capabilities to receive notifications via QR code setup instead of app installs.
  • Self-Hosted Push Notification Platforms - Provides a self-hosted server for sending instant alerts to mobile devices and hardware without a dedicated client app.
  • Appless Receivers - Provides a lightweight mechanism to receive notifications on mobile devices without installing a dedicated client application.
  • Self-Hosted - Provides a private, self-hosted backend using containers to manage and route custom alerts.
  • API Key Management - Provides a management suite for creating and rotating secure API keys to route messages to specific devices.
  • Notification Pipeline Authorization - Secures the notification pipeline by requiring unique API keys to validate requests from third-party senders.
  • Device Registration Services - Links physical hardware and mobile clients to user accounts using unique registration tokens.
  • MQTT Notification Integrations - Functions as a messaging bridge that pushes text and image alerts to smart hardware via MQTT.
  • Self-Hosted Deployments - Allows deployment of a private backend instance using containers for full control over data and delivery.
  • IoT Image Rendering - Renders images on IoT device screens by sending image URLs to a dedicated topic.
  • Push Notification Forwarding - Routes alerts from third-party platforms to personal devices using custom JSON formats to bridge different systems.
  • Topic-Based Messaging - Routes specific content types like images or text to targeted devices using themed communication channels.
  • API Key Lifecycle Management - Provides administrative tools to create, rename, and rotate API keys used to authorize and route notifications.
  • Webhook Integrations - Provides a mechanism to receive and process custom JSON alerts from third-party platforms via webhooks.

Bark is a self-hosted push notification system for iOS devices that bridges HTTP requests to Apple's Push Notification service. It provides a complete pipeline for sending custom alerts from scripts, cron jobs, or CI pipelines directly to an iPhone, with the server component designed for Docker-based deployment on personal infrastructure. The system distinguishes itself through automated notification handling capabilities. When a push arrives, Bark can automatically copy the notification body or a custom value to the iOS clipboard, open a specified URL when the user taps the notification, and
