pad.ws هي بيئة تطوير تعتمد على الويب تدمج محرر أكواد وطرفية (terminal) مع لوحة رسم مرئية مشتركة. تعمل كبيئة تطوير عن بُعد ومساحة برمجة مرئية تعاونية حيث يمكن للفرق رسم المفاهيم المعمارية وكتابة الأكواد ضمن واجهة واحدة.
يسد المشروع الفجوة بين التصميم والتنفيذ من خلال الجمع بين سبورة رقمية وبيئة تطوير سحابية. يتيح ذلك للمستخدمين إجراء تخطيط برمجي مرئي وتصور تقني عبر ربط الرسومات على لوحة تفاعلية مباشرة بأكواد التنفيذ.
توفر المنصة قدرات لتطوير بيئات التطوير السحابية (Cloud IDE) وإدارة البيئات عن بُعد. يتضمن ذلك مساحة عمل يمكن الوصول إليها عبر المتصفح تتصل بأجهزة افتراضية سحابية لتنفيذ الأوامر وإدارة الملفات عن بُعد.
